[Quarterfinals] Masuma Uchiha V.S. Kotetsu Sakkaku [Complete]

At the signal from the proctor, the young boy thought it be safe to make the first move. At least to test his opponents simple reactions seeing as his opponent hails from the same Clan. His first move was to activate his sharingan, which with a flash of his eyes revealed his Double Tomoe. Kotetsu then proceeded in launching, from the right hand, two shuriken. While following it with a single shuriken wrapped with a paper bomb, from the left hand. Once the bomb is out of reach of the mist genin, it explodes. Which in turn causes the first two shuriken to be propelled faster. The actual explosion from the paper bomb would not affect neither genin.

When the shuriken were thrown at him, it was a matter of predicting a simple trajectory. Even at their accelerated velocity their course would remain on the same path, so he quickly used what little time he had to draw his two kunai and deflect the projectiles. He held them both out, one at either side, at an inward angle and channeled a lightning bolt from either hand through the metal to send it towards Kotetsu in and X pattern. "We're in the preliminaries and you still want to test me?" Masuma's voice was full of malice, though he avoided eye contact. He knew what the sharingan was capable of while his wasn't activated.

Kotetsu's hands began weaving signs and his body molded the chakara. Which in turn alowd him to perform the Fire Release: Fire Dragon Bullet. With a loud roar, the flames spewed from the Uchiha's mouth in hope to combat the opponent's jutsu. Although upon contact the flames began to be cut through by the lightning. The slashes followed the path of the fire all the way to hit Kotetsu. Even though the attack hit him, it was weakened by the fire jutsu. So in turn he received only damage for one of the lightning attacks. Though the attack may have been weakened it still caused him to receive slight scorches on his chest as well as in temporary paralyzed state from the shock.

Raising a half-tiger seal to his mouth Masuma followed the attack with his own Katon Kodangan no Jutsu (Small Fire Bullet), shooting out a ball of football sized flame. Behind it he threw a shuriken, which was bound to eventually pass through the fireball due to the difference in speed of the projectiles. He had yet to activate his Sharingan, keeping his distance from the other Uchiha and keeping his eyes lowered from eye level.

Although the mist genin was temporarily paralyzed, he could physically see what was transpiring before him. Damn it Was the thought that ran through his head as he watched the fireball come from the mouth of the other Uchiha. Then suddenly, a shuriken bolted through the fireball and pierced Kotetsu in the upper left part of his chest. As it entered, the searing metal instantly cauterized the wound it inflicted. Although the bleeding stopped, it didn't help the pain or his flesh momentarily being seared. The shock from the shuriken allowed him to regain control of his body and fighting through the pain, he used one handsigns to use the Substitution jutsu. Which in turn replaced his body with a log of wood, while he reappeared behind the log. Upon the log being hit with the fire it was set ablaze. Kotetsu then kicked the log and followed it up with a Kunai and explosive tag. As the log approached Masuma, the Kunai struck the back of it and the explosive tag detonated. In turn, it caused the flaming log to explode into shrapnel of flaming splinters.

Seeing the other Uchiha awaken from the paralysis, Masuma activated his One-Tomoe Sharingan. In the slowed down world he was able to move out of the path of the log, however the explosive kunai behind it was obscured to him until he was already beside it. As he turned his head and looked at the log he saw the tag moments before it burnt up and detonated, allowing him to at least shield his face. Portions of his yukata were decimated by the splinters, but due to the lose fitting nature of the clothing a lot of the damage was superficial in nature. Except for where his sleeve fell, and his arm was hit by numerous splinters that burnt up and cauterized the wounds they left, leaving many small welts on his lower right arm. He flipped backwards to land on his feet after the concussive blast. Sliding in the dirt he bit his lip and activated the seal on his tongue to perform his Mandara no Jin summoning and spit up thousands of snakes that formed a living wall.

Astonished at the amount of snakes, the uchiha genin momentarily hesitated before thinking of a simple plan. Hopefully this will work. Kotetsu thought to himself while weaving a set of simple handsigns. Then, using the Fire Release: Fire Dragon Bullet, a stream of fire expelled from his mouth in a constant and strong steam. While performing the jutsu, he then retrieved his last kunai in his right hand. Once doing so, the mist genin would sling the kunai down the stream of fire. The fire was being used to attempt to burn a small hole, as well as hearing the metal to blistering hot. Hopefully if the flame didn't burn through, then the Kunai would be able to sear through the snakes and break through. Although this was all a hypothesis, since he in fact didn't know the extent of his opponents defensive ninjutsu.

The wall withstood the impact of both attacks, some of the snakes disappeared after the assault but it seemed negligible. Jumping on top of the wall Masuma threw four shuriken, two from either hand with one in each hand having an explosive tag on it. With his Sharingan active Masuma was now making full eye contact with his opponent, staring down at him from the wall of ten thousand snakes.

Kotetsu easily noticed the volley of shuriken heading his way. So in response, he threw his last three shuriken. Which two caused two of Masuma's to deflect into his other two while one went through the middle aimed at the genin. Unknowing of the paper bomb, he was unready when they exploded. Which in turn propelled the one that went through the middle, faster although off target. Originally it was aimed for his chest but got shifted to aiming at the shoulder due to the explosion. While the actual explosion caused Masuma's four shuriken and his two, that clashed with it, to explode as shrapnel in all directions. Where the bloody mist genin was caught off guard, his body was riddled with searing pieces of metal. Which in turn caused him to fall to one knee, although he kept his left hand on the hilt of his sword to ensure he isn't totally defenseless.

The burning metal hit Masuma in his shoulder, he used a kunai to pull it out while it was still hot enough to cauterize the wound. "I'll admit, you're a more difficult opponent than my other ones so far. But that's like comparing a soft breeze to stagnant air." He fell backwards, landing behind his wall. He coughed up a small snake, which solidified into a dagger. Pressing his palm flat against the wall of snakes, it began to rush forward with him in tow. When they approached his opponent they dispersed through the middle, allowing him to thrust forward with the kunai in his left hand and his living dagger in the other.

Using his left hand to pull the sword straight up from the scabbard, Kotetsu blocked the living dagger with the blade. While his right hand lunged forward to grab the wrist of the hand wielding the Kunai. Although in his weakened state, the Uchiha was unsuccessful at grabbing the wrist. Instead his hand was impaled with the Kunai and  fighting through the pain and blood loss the boy held his ground as his vision became blurry as well as light headed. He attempted to perform a head butt, although if successful the attack could very well knock his self out. Seeing that he is in a poor dilapidated state as well as not having his forehead protector over his forehead bit instead around his neck.

The wall of snakes absorbed the impact of the headbutt, due to the semi-spongy consistency of the living wall it was not a solid collision but more like headbutting rubber. After this the wall disappeared, leaving Masuma face to face with the weakened Uchiha. He removed his kunai from his opponents hand and Body Flickered backwards. "I think you're finished. If we meet again, Uchiha, I will not hesitate to eliminate you."

Masuma deactivates his Sharingan, confident he has this match won. Kotetsu is panting heavily from the scrap that had just occurred. The spongy surface of the headbutt hadn't knocked him out, but he was quite exhausted and heavily injured from the battle thus far. In a rage he locks eyes with his foe trapping him in an illusion. The mental trauma Masuma suffers from this attack is enough to knock the shinobi out. He is left unconscious afterwards, and the crowd is confused as to what just transpired. The referee steps forward, "The match is over, winner is Kotetsu Sakkaku!"
