Snake and the Swordsman [Complete]

Masuma waited in a clearing, sitting on a rather large rock while he counted the pebbles on the ground. So far he was up to four-hundred and seventy-three. He had requested that his Sensei meet him on the outskirts of the village for some sparring, and Tenzo was more than a little late by the Uchiha's rash standards. He was definitely infuriated and it showed on his face. He wore his headband at his waist, tied through a loop that normally supported a kunai holder which he instead wore on his back.

Tenzo calmly made his way to the location agreed upon for training with his Genin. "Ohhh?" He looks left and right scanning the area before noticing Masuma sitting on top of a large rock. He flickers over to the boy and appears behind him.

"I heard you signed up for the Alliance Festival. Now you wish to train? You don't seem confident in your own ability." His glasses glare at the boy as a smile creeps its way across his face.

"Quite the contrary. I want to see the limits of my ability so that I don't accidentally kill anybody and ruin your pristine reputation as the teacher capable of defeating three children at once." Masuma said this joking sentence with a complete look of impassive malice on his face. He threw a handful of pebbles at the swordsman as a distraction, following it up with his stolen lightning bolt technique.

Tenzo snatches the pebbles thrown at him before infusing them with his own Wind Release. Improvising he playfully flings a few back at his student. They splice straight through the lightning bolt and head for Masuma.

Masuma quickly leaped off of the stone he sat upon, jumping over the pebbles. While in the air he quickly formed a half tiger seal, shooting off two Katon Kodangan and sending the rather small and weak but relatively fast projectiles downwards towards Tenzo.

Tenzo swings his sheathed sword at the fire projectiles completely decimating them, "A fire release of that caliber has no chance in hell against me."

"Let's see how well your Taijutsu is."

Tenzo flies toward Masuma and releasing a flurry of punches and kicks upon his student.

Masuma bit his lip, getting blood on the summoning seal inscribed on his tongue. As the punches and kicks came at him, a wall of snakes began to form each section disappearing as it was hit. With the last part of the wall gone, obscured by the smoke of their disappearance, Masuma used his Niba dokuhebi o Shokan and charged at his sensei with the living dagger.

Tenzo side steps him and slightly shoves his back as he passes by. With his back to the boy he jokes, "Bringing a knife to a fist fight?" Tenzo grips his sword, "I apologize, but you are unworthy of seeing this blade right now." He is still turned away from Masuma.

Masuma swung again, keeping his stance solid so that he wouldn't be flipped or slip in the completely guaranteed event that his target moved. It wasn't the honorable thing for a ninja to do, but what Masuma had learnt by now was that a real ninja is far from honorable if it must survive.

"Scars on the back are a swordsman's shame." Masuma seemingly plunges his dagger into Tenzos' back before he turns into a cloud of white smoke.

Kaze no kurōn: Wind Clone.

Tenzo reappears on the rock behind Masuma.

"Survival is shameful. Birds, mammals, reptiles, even insects eat their own young to ensure that they themselves live. There is no purity in this world, and I will prove that." His lips curled into a smile as he closed his eyes, when they opened again his One Tomoe Sharingan was active. He knew that at this level he was only going to be able to grasp the basic ideas of where his Sensei's movements would lead, nowhere close to actually tracking him. As his hand became empty with the disappearance of his snake summon he formed it into a half-tiger seal and fired off a lightning bolt.

The lightning bolt pierces through another Wind Clone. It dissipates just as Tenzo flashes infront of Masuma. He extends his arm outward and gently presses onto Masumas' forehead with his middle and index finger.

"It's impure to assume that purity is absent from this realm." He is face to face with Masuma looking down on him eyes closed, but smiling.

"Many things can be pure. There is purity in battle, purity in nature, purity in the human spirit."

"There is light, and then there is dark. They are always and forever one. They coexist in everything that lives."

"This world is no place for sentimental ideals. There will always be broken bonds and there will always be war. A candle only remains lit for so long before it goes dark forever, balance is only achieved temporarily."

"A candle only needs someone to breathe life into it. Just a faint glow is enough to eventually burn bright."

"Equilibrium exists in all things. If someone or something acted upon it...its natures will to restore its' balance."

"Enough fighting for today, rest up for the tournament instead. Let your mind and body rest in peace Masuma. You will need clear eyes, and a full heart."

Tenzo walks past his student back to the village. ~This won't be enough to move him. Actions speak louder than words~
