Ability The Shinbioto Cable Scythe does little other than any normal cable scythe. With a controlled flow of chakra the user can launch the scythe, controlling its movement through the 15' cable attached to the hilt.   

Appearance Black hardwood handle with golden engraved kanji tell the story of how the Shinbioto clan first came into contact and the eventual creation of a summoning contract with the limbo demons. A heavy raven blue Damascus steel curved blade shines at the top of the staff. When looking closely into the ripples of the steel you can see the limbo demons attempting to reach out and escape the maddening realm of limbo, but some would say it is a trick of the light warping the Damascus ripples.

History The Shinbioto Cable Scythe has been passed down from generation to generation...on the staff you can see the faint golden kanji engraved into the dark black wood, telling the story of it's creation and the tale of how the limbo demons came into a contract with the Shinbioto...."I haven't made that story yet, so for now just gonna have to settle for the teaser"

Three things ; None of us know what a cable scythe actually is, we've looked it up and the only thing we can find is Hidan's scythe but it was a triple-bladed scythe not a cable scythe.

Second thing - You can't see the demons in the blade

Third thing- the weapon cannot be used as a contract catalyst

For some reason I can't post a link, but 6th post down, Reaping Festival, uses a cable scythe technique, at the bottom it explains how big the scythe is and how long the cable is. I will send you a private message of the link. However I was told that instead of 20ft the cable is starting at 15ft. Another character other than Hidan, which he used a cable scythe since it had a chain connected to the hilt, was Hanzo...The cable scythe is actually just a more unique kusarigama.

About the seeing demons thing. Why not? It serves no purpose other than to give my character neat and only neat item. No special benefits come from looking into the scythe, and it could almost be considered a myth since one could argue that the Damascus ripples are being warped from a possible light source.

The catalyst idea I am totally ok with scratching.

That's what I meant, I just worded it wrong sorry. They can see "demons" in the ripples provided that it's more of a myth than any actual fact.

The reason for the catalyst thing is that usually the only accepted catalyst for summons is blood and the only thing that changes is the delivery method of the seal
