[Quarterfinals] Ko'Oni Kaguya V.S. Aimi Kurama [Complete]

At the signal given by the proctor, Ko'Oni thought it best to make the first move. Reason being was that even after medical attention, his body was still slightly fatigued and bruised from the previous fight. So to start the quarter finals off, the Kaguyan slings his arm in a horizontal manner, slinging two shuriken at different intervals. One was aimed towards her left shoulder while the other was directed at the right. He then played as if his injuries from the last fight still ailed him more than really. So Ko'Oni fell to one knee with his right hand placed on his left shoulder.

Aimi reacts by pulling out two shurikens herself and deflecting each one on the right time. She waits for Ko'Oni next move after she moved away from him into a safe distance.

~He looks worn out, but he might still be able to pull some tricks.I got to be careful. ~

The instant he seen his enemy jump backwards, Ko'Oni figured it be best to take the fight to the konuichi. So using his Bone manipulation, the Kumo Ninja genin created a bone shuriken from his right shoulder, under his right hand. He then launched the shuriken at her left leg while following suit. While running he pulled out his Tentai Ryūsei and would wrap part of it diaganolly around his body. The blade would be held in a dagger formation in the right hand, while the heavy metal ball would be dangling from about 1 foot of chain in the other.

Aimi pulls out swiftly a shuriken and throws it at the one coming towards her clinging both weapons out of the air.

~He is holding a dagger, if I engage with him in close combat I would probably lose. ~

She lands and as he gets closer she uses falling petals on him, moving to the left briefly afterwards.

~This way I will be the one at advantage in close combat. ~

Not realizing it's a genjutsu, Ko'Oni begins to twirl the weighted ball over his head. With each revolution, the centripetal force would cause it's speed to increase. At the same time the Kaguyan would slowly loosen his grip with each rotation. Which would caused the chain to slide through and increasing the range/vicinity of the swinging metal. After a couple of swings, the end of the weapon would begin to rip through the maelstrom of flower petals. He was still unaware of it being a genjutsu, instead the genin thought it be a ninjutsu and figured the konuichi's body was actually the flower petals. His plan was to attack the petals, while at the same time, his own attack could be used to defend himself if needed.

Aimi crouches as a reaction of Ko'Oni starting to spin the weapon above him, grabbing a kunai soon afterwards. When he starts to loosen his grip the ball start to spin closer and closer to her, she watches the rotation closely. When the ball is about to hit Aimi, she throws the kunai at it making it move away from her and without hesitation she charges towards him making a swift jump, shifting her stance as she gets closer to Ko'Oni so she could give him a strong kick to his guts. The genjutsu wears off when she is about to hit him.

The kick hits Ko'Oni square in the gut and caused him to lurch forward in pain. His face flashed with a menacing smile as his eyes show pure malice for the enemy while at the same time gleaming with satisfaction of his opponent closing in finally. While fighting through the pain, the Kaguyan churned the chakara in his body while kneading water in his mouth. Then using the Heavenly Weeping, the Kaguyan expels three water senbon at the konuochi's leg while lurched forward. Then after the metal ball hits the ground, he flicked his wrist. Which caused thr chain from his Tentai Ryūsei began to loosely circle around and attempt to wrap both of the shinobi together.

Aimi is surprised by the water sebons and tries to pull back her leg, but fails getting hit three times at it. She squeals from pain, but when she sees the chain starting to spin again, she uses body replacement technique disappearing from his sight.

~This is not good I can't rely on this leg anymore, I will have to play it safe from now on. ~

From a safe distance Aimi gets out of her hiding spot using string bean binding immediately on Ko'Oni.

With a wicked smile shimmering on his face, Ko'Oni couldn't help but to let out a cackle from the pure euphoria felt from drawing blood. Seeing as once the senbon pierced the leg, they dissipated. Which in turn caused the wounds not to be plugged up, but able to bleed.

As the chains closed in on the two, the konuichi used her body replacement technique, allowing her to escape the chains and his line of sight. So with another flick of his wrist, the chains halted around him and fell to the floor with a loud clang and thud. Then all of a sudden, a large vine rapidly grew from the ground below and began to constrict around him. Although before the vine was able to wrap around him, the used the blade from his Tentai Ryūsei to slash in a upwards vertical motion. Which in turn cut the vines albiet it didn't stop from another set to spring forth and began to do the same.

As the vine coiled around his leg, it became clear.This has to be a genjutsu. His words rang clear through his head. No genin could perform a ninjutsu on this level. So it won't hurt to at least try. With that boy performed one handsigns, "Kai" Sending out a smart burst of chakara, causing the genjutsu to be disrupted and fade away. The instant his feet touched the ground, he didn't hesitate to act nor waste time scanning for the enemy. Instead he weaved a short set of handsigns, whcih allowed him to use the Hidden Mist jutsu. The area slowly begins to fog and cloud with the mist as the vision starts to become more and more limited.

Aimi grabs a exploding tag placing it on the ground and moving backwards to a safe distance setting it off afterwards. The explosion sends rubble everywhere and the smoke merges with the mist and at that moment of diversion she uses transformation technique becoming a rock that looks like it's part of debris made by the explosion.

~Now I just got to wait and see his next move. ~

Hearing the explosion, from the paper bomb, alerted Ko'Oni to the proximity of the girls location in the mist. Although it was just the vicinity and not a pinpoint location. So focusing his chakara into his skin and ears, he uses his Enhanced Seismic Sense. This allows him to scan the nearby area for any slight disturbance or sound. At first he is unable to detect anything within the mist, although it makes him curious. Maybe the Konuichi retreated once again. His anger started to boil at the thought of his enemy continuously hiding. Although the emotion quickly subsided and Ko'Oni focused back on his jutsu, and the vicinity of where the explosion went off. As he scanned the area, the Kaguyan could hear a shallow breathing but couldn't pinpoints its exact location. So hoping to flush the girl out, Ko'Oni throws his two Kunai and paper bombs towards the vicinity of the noise. Once hitting the ground, they would explode and the genin would be ready to attempt to use the weighted side of his chain to wrap her up if she was flushed out of hiding.

Cautious as she can be Aimi waits for Ko'oni's next attack, she hears zoning in the air and the two kunais appear in her sight. They are close, but not in course towards Aimi. Her first reaction its to run as fast as she can away from them. When she starts to move away, she notices movement near her and suddenly a chain appears cutting itself a way through the mist moving towards her and at that moment she sees through the way the chain came from, Ko'Oni with menacing eyes staring at her while moving his wrist as he controls the chain. Aimi faces turns from a desperation expression to a bright smile.

~I may still have a chance.~

She uses swiftly demonic illusion: hell viewing on Ko'Oni when the chain is about to bind her so the genjutsu distracts him long enough to make it easy for Aimi to maneuver away from the chain. She jumps away from him almost instantly after dodging away from the chain, pulling out a kunai and attaching it to an exploding tag. When she is about to throw it towards him two explosions occur near her, they are close enough throws her off balance. she tries to land with her good leg, but fails, having to use the other one. The landing throws her off because of the pain caused by her damaged leg, but she soon recovers throwing the kunai in her hand towards where Ko'Oni was last seen.

"Have a taste of this!"

The kunoichi visualized the chain just as it is about to hit her. As she maneuvers out of the way she can see the path the chain had cut from the mist. Aimi successfully casts her Genjutsu on her foe who lurches forward whilst stuck in the illusion. Her explosive kunai lands near Ko'Oni going off. When the smoke clears the crowd can see him standing strong from the explosion. He is unconcious from the blast. Ko'Oni is unable to continue battling which signals the referee to step forward, "The match is over, Aimi Kurama is the winner!"
